The 9/10U River Sharks battled over two days in Key Largo on July 16-17 and came away with a second place finish in the 2nd Annual Upper Keys Classic. The River Sharks lost their opening game 4-3 to West Palm Beach, then cruised past Plantation 13-3 to set up a Sunday show down with host Upper Keys for a spot in the championship game. The River Sharks battled through a 10-5 win over Upper Keys to reach the final against West Palm, but fell just short in the final. Members of Coach Hector Borge’s team included Nick Abrams, Matthew Vega, Carlos Hernandez, Maxwell Lamazares, Ashton Ravelo, Jonathan Borge, Darwin Alfonso, Alexander Ruvalcaba, Mason Lopez and Bryan Pena.
