The Miami Springs 8U Coach Pitch All-Star team wrapped up a long day of baseball with a second place finish in the third annual District 8 Coach Pitch Tournament. The 8U All-Stars opened the tournament with a come-from-behind 13-12 win over Upper Keys, and followed it up with a victory over North Miami Beach in the semifinals. In the championship game, Miami Beach proved to be too much for Miami Springs to handle. Members of the 2022 8U All-Star team are Jorge Cueto (River Flyers), Dylan Garland (River Dogs), Jason Hernandez (River Dogs), Justin Magdaleno (Marlins), Hudson Booher (Mudcats), Keler Gari (River Dogs), Ryan Debs (River Sharks), Jonathan Borge (River Sharks), Pedro Lopez del Castillo (Tropics), Matthew Vega (Tropics), Aiden Bonko (River Sharks), Nathan Fernandez (River Bandits). Not pictured: Evan Lozano (Tropics), Noah Moran (River Bandits) and Nathan Nickerson (River Dogs). Coaches: Ray Fernandez (River Bandits), Mike Magdaleno (Marlins) and Danny Hernandez (River Dogs).
